Do your suspension - struts or shocks need to be replaced? How do you know?
There are several ways to know if they need to be replaced:
- Stability and Control
- You may feel that you have a loss of stability and control. The vehicle will tilt from side to side even when making the slightest of turns. You may also feel like potholes or speed bumps are more excessive, (especially in Regina)
- Steering Response
- Typically when your struts or shocks are needing to be replaced, you will start to experience a more difficult time steering. When driving or changing lanes, particularly at high speeds you will feel like your steering is more unresponsive or you need to make more steering wheel corrections.
- Stopping Distance
- When you are stopping, the front end of the vehicle's nose will dive. This increases the stopping distance of your vehicle. This will also result in greater brake tear and wear.
